Your LifeDesk classification will be a hierarchical list of taxon names representing the different clades within your chosen group of organisms. In addition to the accepted scientific taxon names, you can include other names, such as synonyms, vernaculars, etc. in your classification. Place each of these names as a child of the accepted taxon name. Then open the Name Data Panel:
and select the name category from the Relation menu:

Your LifeDesk uses a single primary classification. Names contained within your primary classification can be used to tag other content items in your site, for example you can tag an image in your site with a taxon name to indicate that the image contains information about the taxon that that name represents.
Your primary classification is the backbone of your LifeDesk. Before you add any images or text about a taxon to your site you should first add the name of that taxon to your primary classification.
